Reproduction and Breeding
Specialized in horse breeding and reproduction, we offer services for subfertility, semen collection, and mare insemination.
Orphan Foals and Nurse Mares
We care for orphaned foals who have lost their dams after birth.
We manage their feeding 24/7 and pair them with a nurse mare, a horse that will accept them and raise them alongside other foals. We provide the necessary care to prevent neonatal diseases and any potential immune issues.
The nurse mare supports the foal’s development thanks to specialized veterinary treatment received at our center.
This ensures the foal grows up strong and healthy.
Foaling Assistance
We examine the mare upon arrival to assess the health of both the dam and the fetus.
We use ultrasound to visualize the fetus, determining its position and vitality by monitoring its heartbeat.
We also perform a placenta examination to prevent potential issues.
With the aid of technology, we closely monitor the mare’s preparation for foaling, ensuring optimal care for the newborn.
Our goal is to remain invisible but always present at the right moment.
Mare Insemination
Our center is equipped with the expertise and tools for insemination using cooled or frozen semen.
We carefully monitor the mare with ultrasounds, keeping track of ovulation by examining the ovaries day and night.
The well-being of the mare and her foal is a top priority. For this reason, we always bring the foal along for visits with the dam and prepare the mare thoroughly for insemination, adhering to the highest hygiene standards.
By using deep insemination techniques, we optimize pregnancy rates with frozen semen.
Embryo transfer
We offer Embryo Transfer services with on-site recipient mares.
The broodmare engaged in competitive breeding or with reproductive problems can complete gestation through the use of a surrogate womb. The recipient for all intents and purposes breeds her foal affectionately without ascribing any character to it.
We perform the procedure quickly, noninvasively, and absolutely painlessly, about 7-9 days after fertilization. The donor mare is not affected in any way by the uterine lavage, which takes 10-20 minutes. The uterine lavage fluid is then filtered to search for the embryo.
